Web Design Part 2
Format Text Most of the work so far on "Page
Two" can be seen above.
Next we will format the text, "Page Two".
Click and drag over the words "Page Two" to highlight it.
From the toolbar (3rd drop down menu from the left) select a new font size (I will change
the font from a 12 point size to a 24 point size font).
Next select a new font color (4th drop down menu from the left).
I selected a shade of purple (R=153 G=51 B=102 HTML: #993366).
You may also click on any or all of the three letter A's for a Bold, Italic
or Underline effect on the text. For the example I will click on the Bold A.
Alignment can be changed using the dropdown icon that is furthest to the right. I selected
the second choice down for center alignment.
Click on the "Save" icon OR click on "File" and "Save".
Format Table Next right click on in the first
cell of the table.
Select and click on "Table Properties".
Select and click on the "Cell" tab.
Click on the check box "Use Color" under "Cell Background" and click
on the button to select a color.
I selected a shade of green (R=255 G=255 B=255 HTML: #999999).
Click "Apply".
Click "Close".
OR
Click "OK".
Next right click on in the second cell of the table.
Select and click on "Table Properties".
Select and click on the "Cell" tab.
Click on the check box "Use Color" under "Cell Background" and click
on the button to select a color.
I selected a shade of gray (R=192 G=192 B=192 HTML: #C0C0C0).
Click "Apply".
Click "Close".
OR
Click "OK".
Click on the "Save" icon OR click on "File" and "Save".
Format Background Click on "Format"
at the top of the page between "Insert" and "Tools".
Select and click on "Page Colors and Properties".
When the "Page Properties" window opens click on the "Colors and
Background" tab.
Click the check box "Use Image" under "Background Image" and then
click the "Choose File" button.
When the "Choose Image File" window opens find and select a file (You are
welcome to right click and save the image below, "background2.jpg", if you would
like to use it. I created it myself and would be happy to share it with you.)
Click "Open"
Click "Apply".
Click "Close".
OR
Click "OK".
Click on the "Save" icon OR click on "File" and "Save".
The results can be seen at the top of the next page.
