
TADASANA ... (Standing Mountain Pose) This is the simplest pose of all. All you
do is close your eyes and stand up straight with your arms to your side. Concentration is
on the spine. Even though it is so simple, it has great benefits for your breathing and
your posture. This is also what is called a "grounding" posture - which simply
means by performing this pose you become centered within yourself ... grounded to the
earth beneath you ... unmoving and unshakeable to outside worries or woes. This is a great
posture to use when you are being attacked by a co-worker or if something is causing
stress in your life.
